Screen Saver

The screen saver settings are accessed by selecting "Screen Saver..." from the Settings popup menu in Vusic MP3 and Vusic CD. In the SCREEN SAVER panel are controls to set the screen saver on or off, to set the delay in minutes, and to designate whether to play a CD (Vusic CD) on launch.

Only one screen saver can be active at one time so whichever Vusic application modifies or updates the screen saver settings overrides any previous screen saver settings. Enabling the screen saver in Vusic MP3 will activate Vusic MP3 as the screen saver. Enabling the screen saver in Vusic CD will activate Vusic CD as the screen saver, disabling any previous screen saver.

The screen saver will launch Vusic after the designated delay. An error will result if there is not enough memory to launch Vusic or if Vusic has been deleted, moved, or renamed.

Note that the screen saver is non-standard. Pressing a key or moving the mouse will NOT quit the screen saver. To quit the screen saver, simply click on the animation window or use the standard keyboard commands.

When the screen saver launches Vusic, the controls window does not display. Press the space bar in order to make the controls window visible.

When the screen saver launches Vusic MP3, Vusic will play MP3s if the current songlist contains one or more MP3 file names. During screen saver mode, random song tracks are played.

When the screen saver launches Vusic CD, Vusic will not play music CDs. If you want to play CDs in screen saver mode, click the "Play CD When Launched" button in the screen saver panel so that it displays "Play". The default setting is to ignore the CD if one is present. During screen saver mode, random song tracks are played.
