Unable to Find Active Sound Channel
Vusic CD Windows Only
Check to make sure that your CD-ROM drive is wired to your sound card. Vusic cannot
listen to your CDs if the sound is not passed through your sound card. If music
does not come out your speakers that are hooked up to your sound card, then it
is likely that your CD-ROM drive is not hooked up correctly.
If your CD-ROM is wired to your sound card correctly, then try this: Open the
Sound Input panel by selecting "Sound Input..." from the Settings popup
menu. With a CD playing in your computer so that you can hear the music coming
through your speakers, click the "Search" button. Vusic will attempt
to listen to each sound channel until it hears sound coming through a channel.
Or you can manually select "audio CD" from the sound input popup menu
and force Vusic to listen to the audio CD sound channel. You will know things
are working correctly because the beat meter
will animate in response to the music when the Control Panel Window is expanded.
Vusic LIVE Windows Only
This message will appear if Vusic is unable to hear any sound passing through your sound card. First, make sure that sound is passing through your sound card and that you can hear the sound coming through your speakers. Then, open the
Sound Input panel by selecting "Sound Input..." from the Settings popup
menu. Click the "Search" button. Vusic will attempt
to listen to each sound channel until it hears sound coming through a channel.
Or you can manually select a sound input channel from the sound input popup menu
and force Vusic to listen to that channel. You will know things
are working correctly because the beat meter will animate in response to the music when the Control Panel Window is expanded.
