Screen Flickering
Windows:
Vusic is constantly redrawing the screen on your monitor in order to animate
colors. On some video cards, this produces an annoying flickering. If your monitor
is set to 256 colors, the flickering will go away or be greatly reduced as Vusic
will instead use palette rotation to animate the colors. One option is to change
your monitor settings to 256 colors before running Vusic. Another option is
to change the refresh rate of your monitor.
The BEST method, if you have Windows XP, is to change the property settings
to force Vusic to run in 256 colors every time it is launched. To change the
property settings, do the following:
1) Open the Properties box for Vusic by right-clicking on the Vusic.exe icon
and selecting "Properties" or option-double-clicking on the Vusic.exe
icon.
2) Click on the "Compatibility" tab.
3) Under "Display settings", check the box that says "Run in
256 colors".
This will force Vusic to always run in 256 colors and should solve your flickering
problem.
